Sao Raphael
We have chosen three central beach resort locations in the most scenic part of the Algarve coast between Albufeira and Portimao. This is the stretch of the coast on which you will find the characteristic Algarvian beaches.
It is also the stretch of the coast which has been the most successful in avoiding "concrete jungle" developments. Beaches, headlands and coves are virtually all unmarred by developments. Tourist development that has taken place is mainly first class low density Portugese style holiday villages in a garden setting or luxury individual villas.
Senhora da Rocha
Centered around the two beautiful beaches of Senhora da Rocha and Praia Nova (interlinked via a tunnel hewn out of the rock) and with the beach of Cova da Redonda within easy walking distance. The pictureque tiny white chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha is poised on the promentary between the beaches.

Vale de Centianes
just outside bustling Carvoeiro, Centianes beach is between the fantastic rock formations of Algar Seco and the panoramic cliff road from Carvoeiro, and the beautiful Carvalho or Smugglers beach.
Carvoeiro
Between the beach resort and picturesque old fishing village of Carveiro, small beautiful beach of Paraiso (Paradise) and the magnificent beach of Praia do Caneiros and the still unspoilt fishing village of Ferragudo.
